A new and improved Faculty and Staff Hub aims to provide a one-stop shop for the resources, tools, reminders and updates that Metropolitan State University of Denver employees need to succeed in the workplace.
The site will officially launch in March, when the current hub is scheduled to be taken offline. But employees can get a sneak peek at the new hub now, allowing faculty and staff members an opportunity to learn how to navigate it and to offer feedback to University Communications and Marketing, which is overseeing the project.
The redesigned hub includes two prominent links at the top of the homepage. One leads to academic resources and support for faculty members. The other leads to job-related resources for all faculty and staff members. Titled “Employee Essentials,” this portal offers human-resources and professional-development links, wellness resources and administrative tools for all employees.
The new site comes just months after UCM launched a new Early Bird site, which features employee-focused stories reported by the University’s editorial team. The Faculty and Staff Hub complements these stories with easily searchable links, resources and tools that employees often use in the course of their workdays.
“We redesigned the Early Bird and Faculty and Staff Hub based on extensive feedback from MSU Denver employees and best practices in web design,” said Michelle Britt, director of Digital Marketing and Content Strategy. “Our goal is to provide an accessible one-stop shop with useful information that all employees can easily find anytime, anywhere.”
In addition to prominent gateways to faculty and staff tools and resources, the hub homepage includes a feed of top Early Bird stories, upcoming events, key dates and reminders, and more.
