We’re firing up the grills and rolling out the welcome mats for this year’s Howdy Rowdy BBQ, Metropolitan State University of Denver’s annual celebration of community, connection and appreciation. This year’s event combines the best parts of the Spring Update and the Faculty and Staff Appreciation BBQ, giving employees a chance to gather, unwind and recognize the outstanding work of our Roadrunner community.
Join us May 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Jordan Student Success Building Lawn for food, fun and festivities.

Take in a brief address from Davidson as she shares reflections on our collective accomplishments this academic year and looks ahead to what’s next. It’s a moment to celebrate how far the University community has come — together.

Dig in to a delicious barbecue spread, including options for every dietary need. Whether you’re a meat lover or prefer plant-based plates, there will be something tasty for you. Come hungry!

4. Line-dancing lessons for all
Ready to boot-scoot and boogie? The BBQ will include line-dancing lessons tailored to all skill levels and physical abilities. It’s the perfect way to shake off the semester’s stress and get moving with your colleagues.
5. Celebrate years of service and CADRE values
MSU Denver’s Human Resources team will recognize faculty and staff milestones (one year, five years and every five-year increment beyond), honor retirees and share updates on our refreshed CADRE values: community, access, diversity, respect and excellence.
