Roadrunner Tuesday is a special time of year when Roadrunners worldwide unite to take a bite out of student hunger at Metropolitan State University of Denver. The generosity of past donors has provided our students with the food to fuel their dreams of earning a degree and becoming tomorrow’s Changemakers.
Today, you can directly support the mission of “Food for All” with a gift to Rowdy’s Corner.
The goal is to raise $40,000 in 24 hours to fund half a semester’s worth of nutritious food for the hundreds of students who visit Rowdy’s Corner each week. A recurring gift of $5 a month feeds one student for an entire academic year and makes you a Rowdy’s Coffee Club member, giving you access to free daily coffee at Rowdy’s Corner.
This year, Rowdy’s Corner is celebrating its first anniversary. Since the beginning of the semester, Rowdy’s Corner has served an average of 700 students and processed 1,000 transactions weekly. The larger, stigma-free space helps meet the needs of an increasing number of students seeking food, wellness products, school supplies, public-benefits support and so much more. All of this is possible because of donor support.
