Anne Marilyn O’NeillO’Neill was a true Roadrunner. Her career began when she worked in oil and gas accounting before launching a stucco business with her husband. After changing careers in her mid-forties, she graduated with her bachelor’s degree in hospitality, which she used to start an event planning company and then joined the MSU Denver Hospitality Department as an affiliate faculty member. O’Neill’s students loved her wit, compassion, knowledge and attention to detail. O’Neill believed in making a difference personally and in business; serving on the MSU Denver Alumni Board, remaining active in local politics and offering her expertise to the many non-profit organizations that touched her heart.

Personally, O’Neill enjoyed gardening, cooking, and baking, including lasagna, fresh bread and hand-tossed pizzas.

“Anne always had a plan, and every event showcased her special style. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, Irish charm and a beautiful family that was her world,” said her sister, Peggy O’Neill-Jones, Ed.D., professor emeritus, Journalism and Media Production MSU Denver.

O’Neill will be remembered by her legacy and loving family.
