The fourth annual Socktober comes to a close Monday, but there is still time to show some Roadrunner pride while supporting students in need with an exclusive pair of Metropolitan State University of Denver socks.
So far, the Roadrunner community has raised more than $13,362 with the help of over 250 donors. These funds will fill cupboards, allowing students to concentrate on their studies and bridge emergency financial gaps that might otherwise cause them to stop out. Additionally, a minimum of 456 pairs of socks will be distributed by Rowdy’s Corner, keeping students’ toes warm all winter long.
Last year, over 315 donors contributed more than $16,000.
With your support, MSU Denver can do even more.
For every gift of $25 made to the Student Emergency Fund, Rowdy’s Corner or DREAMer Emergency Fund through Monday, those who donate will receive a pair of limited-edition MSU Denver socks and a student will receive a pair through the food pantry.
This year, step up your sock game with two additional designs — ski socks with a gift of $35 and bike socks for a gift of $25 ($15 is tax-deductible for all socks).
Don’t get cold feet and miss out on your chance to support student success during Socktober! Together, MSU Denver can ensure that Roadrunners have what they need to rise and reimagine a future where anything is possible.
