Congratulations to Metropolitan State University of Denver neighbor, the Denver Nuggets, for the franchise’s first-ever NBA Championship!
Please note that the Nuggets’ Champions Parade will begin Thursday at 10 a.m. at Union Station, proceed down 17th Street to Broadway, and then travel south on Broadway to Civic Center Park.
In addition to the parade, pre-rally events will begin in Civic Center Park, located at 101 14th Ave., at 9 a.m.
Heavy traffic and huge crowds are expected to flood the downtown area. Employees who will be traveling to the Auraria Campus are encouraged to visit the City and County of Denver website for full event information, including parade route and expected traffic impacts.
