11th Annual Undergraduate Research Conference, Conference Session II

The registration and abstract submission period for the 12th Annual Undergraduate Research Conference: A Symposium of Scholarly Works & Creative Projects is now open. If you know a student who has completed an exceptional research or creative project, please encourage them to submit an abstract to present.  

  • There is no cost to attend or present. 
  • Submissions from all disciplines are highly encouraged.  
  • Students graduating this fall are eligible to present their work.  
  • Abstracts must be submitted by March 17.

Keynote speaker

This year’s keynote speaker is Allison Skerrett, Ph.D., professor of curriculum and instruction and director of Teacher Education in the College of Education at The University of Texas at Austin. Skerrett’s teaching and research focus on young people’s literacy practices, secondary English education and transnationalism toward educational justice for diverse students. Her new book, “Teaching Literacy in Troubled Times: Identity, Inquiry and Social Action at the Heart of Instruction,” (Corwin Press, 2022) showcases teachers and students engaged in developing critical literacies and taking social action to create more just worlds.
