Metropolitan State University of Denver’s Brandfolder platform officially launched this week, becoming the home for approved University photography, logos, templates and other branded assets.
Employees can begin accessing files for official use immediately while additional collections are being added through the summer rollout.
Get started
There are three ways to access Brandfolder, which are based on the employee’s role:
- Single sign-on (SSO): Sign in with your MSU Denver credentials to access approved collections available to you.
- Email invitation: Some employees will receive invitations to specific collections or asset groups relevant to their work.
- Direct share links: In some cases, you’ll receive a direct download link for approved photos, logos, templates or other assets without navigating the full platform
What you can access now
Brandfolder currently includes:
- Photography from 2024 to present
- Primary logos
- Brand templates
- Brand assets
- Fact sheets
- Select Advancement resources
Other collections will be added and organized throughout the summer. If a resource is not immediately available, employees can request access through the portal.
Questions?
Most employees will have search and download access. Upload, contributor and collection-management permissions are limited to designated users and may require onboarding.
If your work requires additional permissions or you have questions about the transition, request access via the above link or submit via University Communications and Marketing’s photo or branding request forms.
What’s changing and why
Brandfolder replaces PhotoShelter as MSU Denver’s primary digital asset platform while expanding beyond photography to include logos, templates and other approved branded resources. Using metadata, tags, collections and AI-assisted search instead of traditional folders, it allows faster location of assets while improving brand consistency and reducing duplicate files.
Brandfolder is not replacing SharePoint for general file storage, Vimeo or YouTube for video publishing, or departmental ownership of assets and approval processes. Archived photography taken before 2024 will remain available through UCM upon request.
