In addition to a high-level overview at the President’s Welcome Back, three sessions will be held in the afternoon to discuss more of the specifics. The study, which kicked off last fall, evaluated the University’s pay competitiveness and internal pay equity. Its goals were to enhance transparency, ensure compliance with pay-equity laws, help MSU Denver become Colorado’s most desired place of employment and align compensation practices with the organization’s core values.
MSU Denver engaged an independent, third-party expert, Salary.com, to execute the four-phase study, which netted valuable insights on how University salaries stack up against peer institutions and examined factors such as race and ethnicity, skill level, experience and others.
The results will be used to determine compensation priorities and enhance professional-staff and faculty salary structures that are strategic, sustainable and equitable.
