LegalShield gives employees access to dedicated law firms nationwide that provide support for a wide range of legal matters, including:

- Reviewing and signing contracts, such as for renting an apartment or purchasing a vehicle.
- Civil disputes, including uncontested divorce or annulment.
- Homebuying and refinancing assistance.
Plus, there’s an option to add a supplement for home businesses.
IDShield protects employees and their families from identity theft and provides resolution by offering:
- Credit and financial monitoring to detect fraudulent activity, including for children.
- VPN Proxy One, which turns public Wi-Fi into a secure private network.
- Identity-theft resolution services.
- A $3 million fraud-protection plan, which helps cover costs associated with identity theft and more.
“LegalShield provides employees peace of mind knowing their identity is protected online,” said Kristen Wall Cordova, Benefits manager. “They also have the reassurance of legal assistance and support in creating their will.”
Employees can enroll directly through MSU Denver’s customized LegalShield and IDShield website. Both services have individual and family plan options. Payment is not available through payroll deduction.

Employees who enroll in LegalShield also gain access to MemberPerks, which provides discounts on over 450 vendors, including pet insurance, groceries, contact lenses, computers and even cellphone bills.
