Roadrunner Tuesday is a special time of year when Roadrunners worldwide unite to fight food insecurity at Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Rowdy’s Corner
On Nov. 29, you can change the lives of MSU Denver students seeking food assistance by making a gift to the Roadrunner Food Pantry. Each recurring gift of $5 per month feeds one student for an entire year. Reaching the Food Pantry’s goal of $20,000 in 24 hours will provide more than 330 students with nutritious food and resources that will allow them to focus on their studies instead of hunger. With student visits to the food pantry increasing every semester, the Roadrunner Food Pantry will soon move to a new location that will better accommodate the growing demand. The much larger new space will have a new name — Rowdy’s Corner — and will be located just down the hall from the existing pantry in the Tivoli Student Union.
Rowdy’s Corner, which will open to students on Nov. 30, will be more than a food pantry. In addition to a variety of food options, MSU Denver students will have access to wellness products and school supplies, a community dining space, microwaves for heating food, charging stations and public-benefits support in a stigma-free environment.
All of this is possible thanks to the generosity of the Roadrunner community.
Make your Roadrunner Tuesday gift early to directly impact the lives of MSU Denver students facing food insecurity. Together, we can ensure no Roadrunner goes hungry!
