Roadrunners After Dark, a new campus event, will bring live music, food trucks, a glow-in-the-dark night market and more to the Jordan Student Success Building Lawn on April 30 from 5 to 9 p.m.
“We wanted to create something exciting that brings students together outside of the classroom,” said Alicia Montoya, program coordinator for Belonging and Student Engagement. “Roadrunners After Dark is about building community, celebrating creativity and giving students a chance to experience campus in a whole new way.”
The event is open to all ages and free for Metropolitan State University of Denver students. Guests are welcome, and general admission is $5.
Event schedule
- 4:30 p.m. – Doors open
- 5:10 p.m. – Jasmine Dragons
- 6:30 p.m. – Dylan Slique
- 8 p.m. – Headlining performance: Paul Russell. Known for his 2023 viral hit “Lil Boo Thang,” which reached No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100, Russell blends pop, hip-hop and funk into crowd-ready performances.

Building evening campus life
The event is part of a broader effort to create more opportunities for students to connect and build community on campus after school hours. As development continues around the Auraria Campus, MSU Denver is investing in events that bring community and energy to campus spaces beyond the classroom.
