Spring 2022 MSU Denver BFA Thesis

Celebrate the creative work of this semester’s Metropolitan State University of Denver BFA graduates. Visit the CVA to see the Spring 2022 MSU Denver BFA Thesis Exhibition, a showcase of the emerging talent in MSU Denver’s art and communication design programs. Works range from digital to clay and delve into themes on the minds of students today.

Build a stronger community through food by joining the School of Hospitality, the CMEI and the APIDA Faculty and Staff Alliance to make dumplings. Attendees will learn about the origins of different dumplings through an in-person workshop or a livestreamed tutorial complete with a grocery list shared in advance. All MSU Denver community members are invited to a social hour after the cooking session to enjoy the tasty treats. Register soon as seats for in-person attendance are limited.

Artist talk and wellness-resource fair

The event will feature an artist talk titled “Too Long in Darkness, Reaching for Light: A Mural on Mental Illness” with artist Leo Tanguma and Dave DeLay about the sculptural mural on loan from, and created in collaboration with, Bayaud Enterprises. The event also includes a wellness-resource fair with a variety of resources related to mental health, healing and wellness as well as food, live music and wellness activities.
The event is co-sponsored by the Metropolitan State University of Denver Department of Chicana/Chicano/Chicanx Studies, MSU Denver’s Center for Multicultural Engagement and Inclusion, MSU Denver’s Gender Institute for Teaching and Advocacy, Bayaud Enterprises, the Chicano Humanities and Arts Council, the Henry Luce Foundation and the Center for the Study of Religion and the City at Morgan State University.

Masters degree in Cybersecurity information session

The Golda Meir House Museum, in collaboration with the Israel American Council and Jewish Colorado, invites community members to a celebration of Israel’s 74th birthday. Festivities begin with opening remarks from state Rep. Dafna Michaelson Jenet at the state Capitol. Attendees can enter the building on the north side at Colfax and Sherman Avenues or use the ADA accessible ground-level entrance at 14th and Sherman avenues. The event will conclude at the Golda Meir House with Israeli treats, music and a tour of the fourth Israeli Prime Minister’s former home.
