Over the past year, colleges, schools and branches across the University have been working on their action plans with the goal of responding directly to employee feedback from the 2025 Employee Engagement Survey.
Employees participated in that survey last February, and since then, every branch and several departments focused on one key priority identified in their survey results, outlining what they would start, stop and continue doing to support a more engaged and productive workplace.
Action plans have since been updated and are available on the Human Resources SharePoint site.
“The 2025 survey results affirm how deeply connected our employees are to MSU Denver’s mission and how proud they are of the work they do,” said Charles Kibort, executive director of Human Resources Operations and Strategy. “We’re also grateful for the honest feedback on areas where we can grow — including cross-team collaboration, trust in leadership, meaningful employee recognition, and growth and development. This input helps guide our efforts to strengthen the employee experience across the University.”
Employees can review their team’s updated plan here. Viewing other departments’ plans is also a great way to see how different areas are approaching similar challenges and opportunities.
This work is part of MSU Denver’s ongoing effort to become Colorado’s most desired workplace by 2030, as outlined in the University’s Strategic Plan.

Continued feedback
The 2026 Employee Engagement Survey will be open Feb. 11–25. Questions will remain consistent to help the University track progress and make meaningful improvements over time. Your participation helps shape the best possible University workplace experience.
All responses are confidential. Only two people — Kellie Zolnikov from Strategy Data and Charles Kibort from human resources — will have access to individual responses, and only to combine them for overall insights. Any written comments shared with leaders will be fully de-identified.
Stay tuned to the Early Bird for more information as the survey window approaches.
