Metropolitan State University of Denver is proud to celebrate the many cultures and identities represented on campus. To honor Women’s History Month throughout March, University organizations are hosting a variety of gatherings.
Bridge Speaker event postponed
The Gender Institute for Teaching Advocacy announced that the annual Bridge Speaker event, scheduled for today, has been postponed due to an emergency conflict with the keynote speaker, Dr. Lorgia García Peña, Ph.D. Stay tuned to the GITA website and the Early Bird for a new date.
Women’s History Month events
Every March, the Center for Multicultural Engagement and Inclusion, GITA, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and additional groups on campus collaborate to commemorate Women’s History Month. This year’s theme honors the remarkable women who advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion and drive positive change in our communities and beyond.

Kick off Women’s History Month with an empowering event rooted in resilience. This event has stations designed to engage and uplift women featuring activities that reflect women’s resilience throughout history.
Discover the wisdom of resilient women through advice cards, offering insights and guidance for navigating challenges and seizing opportunities. Plus, engage in hands-on activities such as painting pots, symbolizing growth and transformation, and planting intentions to cultivate dreams and aspirations.
Women and Leadership Conference
The University also announces the inaugural Women and Leadership Conference, scheduled for March 9 at 8:30 a.m. Register for the conference before Sunday and learn how to turn attendance into a micro-credential.
Rachel B. Noel Professorship events
For more than 40 years, MSU Denver has celebrated the work that Rachel B. Noel has done for the University, Denver, Colorado and the nation. This event spans three days, including a community keynote event March 10, MSU Denver’s Keynote on March 11 and a dance performance March 12. This year’s keynote speaker is Cleo Parker Robinson.

Cap off Women’s History Month by paying tribute to all the women who have shaped your world. Take a moment to express appreciation by crafting heartfelt gratitude cards dedicated to the women who have inspired you personally or who have made a difference in your community. Plus, attendees can build their own charcuterie board.
