Supporting Students

Updated trainings required of all employees

Courses are geared toward maintaining environments that are welcoming, respectful and accessible.

Metropolitan State University of Denver is committed to maintaining environments that are welcoming, respectful and accessible for students, staff, faculty, visitors, guests, vendors, contractors and others. Everyone who studies, works, recreates or attends public events on our campus or participates in a University program or activity should be able to do so free from discrimination, harassment, intimidation and bullying, consistent with University policies and relevant state and federal law.

To advance this goal, the University has partnered with Vector Solutions, a leader in the risk-management industry, to provide online training courses.

All MSU Denver employees are required to take the following online courses every two years:

  • Accommodating People With Disabilities
  • Preventing Harassment and Discrimination

All employees are required to take the following course every year, as required by state law:

  • Data Security and Privacy

How to access trainings

Trainings are accessible through Workday.

  1. Log in to your MSU Denver Workday account.
  2. Go to “Menu” at the top left corner
  3. Select “Learning”
  4. If you have not yet completed the mandatory trainings, the modules will be visible.

Due dates

All current employees as of Dec. 18 must take the training courses by March 15. All new employees hired after Dec. 18 must complete these training courses within 30 days of being hired.

As a University community, our goal must be to foster an environment that recognizes the worth and potential of every individual, conveys respect for all and ensures their safety and dignity. I am fully committed to this goal and know you share my resolve. Our institution prohibits all forms of harassment and discrimination. We believe that education is the most effective way to create a harassment-free and welcoming campus.

Thank you for taking the time to become informed about these important issues.
