The Curriculum, Academic Effectiveness and Policy Development Office has several important reminders and updates for faculty members.
- Curriculum Deadlines are available on the Curriculum SharePoint and Curriculum website. Faculty members must submit proposals by the deadline so they can be included in the 2025-26 catalogs.
- The CAEPD Office is piloting the Program Establishment Process, which offers comprehensive guidance and step-by-step instructions for the submission of a new major, minor, concentration or certificate program proposal. This process is an update from the Phase I New Degree Process for undergraduate programs.
- Curriculum Originators should use the crosslisting feature when submitting course proposals that include crosslistings. Curriculum Reviewers will be instructed to return proposals that do not use this feature. Contact the CAEPD Office with questions.
Curriculum trainings
All curriculum originators may access the new self-paced curriculum-originator training in Canvas. The training includes a 30-minute overview of the curriculum process required to move forward to additional optional modules based on specific curriculum actions. New modules will be added on an ongoing basis. Faculty members originating curriculum proposals who can’t find the help they need should contact the CAEPD Office.
Additionally, Curriculum Reviewer training is available for all reviewers and is required for curriculum-committee members at the college and school level.
SharePoint page is packed with resources
- Visit the Curriculum SharePoint to find resources, helpful information and how-to materials.
- Register for the curriculum mailing list to receive updates and information.
- Visit the curriculum database, the official location for all current course information. Instructors can view course details and print or save a PDF from the database.
New name for Curriculog
Curriculog, the software used to house University catalogs and the curriculum database, is now called the Modern Campus Catalog. The CAEPD Office will update references on the curriculum website and Curriculum SharePoint site.
