Metropolitan State University of Denver’s Office of Alumni Relations is launching a new quarterly event designed to encourage alumni to return to campus for rewarding, casual learning experiences, and the office wants you to help shape it.
Alumni have provided feedback noting that they are interested in engaging with the University through lifelong learning and personal enrichment, said Brandi Rideout, executive director of Alumni Engagement and executive director of the Alumni Association.
In response to that feedback, Alumni Relations has created a new program, Roadrunner Forums, that will offer alumni “the perfect opportunity for sparking curiosity, fostering connection and strengthening their pride in MSU Denver,” Rideout said.
Roadrunner Forums will include events that highlight a unique aspect of MSU Denver’s innovation and expertise, including faculty-led lectures, interactive demonstrations, arts performances and behind-the-scenes campus tours.
Rideout encourages faculty and staff members, alumni and campus partners interested in hosting a session of Roadrunner Forums to submit their proposals by Aug. 12 to be considered for the first event in September. “This is your chance to share your research, showcase creative work or collaborate with colleagues and students to highlight the vibrant work happening across our community,” she said.
