Metropolitan State University of Denver’s University Advancement team reports that this year’s Socktober event and the Colorado 50/50 Raffle raised over $216,000 to support students and University programs. The generosity of donors and volunteers was integral to the success of the programs and ensures that Roadrunners can pursue their dreams of earning a degree and becoming tomorrow’s Changemakers.

Socktober

With the generosity of 430 donors in the Roadrunner community, this year’s record-breaking Socktober raised $26,650 for student-support funds and will donate 1,066 pairs of socks to students through Rowdy’s Corner. Twenty-nine percent of our donors were faculty and staff members. Look for this year’s designs on feet around campus!

The sixth annual giving event also saw fundraising totals eclipse $100,000 and 4,000 pairs of socks donated since its launch in 2019. The Advancement team said it couldn’t have done it without everyone who has joined each year to support MSU Denver students during Socktober. Thank you!
