Metropolitan State University of Denver kicked off the new academic year with its biggest-ever Rowdy Rally, welcoming Roadrunners to campus.
The day began with Rowdy & Ready activities, helping students explore campus, access services and ease first-day nerves. A powerful Welcome Ceremony at the Auraria Event Center featured remarks from University leaders and keynote speaker Bianca Machado, celebrating resilience and student success.
The celebration continued with a high-energy Roadrunner Carnival, packed with food, games, music and giveaways to build community spirit. With new traditions, including President Janine Davidson’s high-five greeting, the Saturday event set the tone for a vibrant year ahead.
