RTD rail project to affect routes serving Auraria Campus and downtown

On May 26, the Regional Transportation District will begin several summer maintenance projects that will disrupt light-rail lines that provide access to the Auraria Campus and downtown area. The project will also impact several area bus lines, and Roadrunners commuting to campus via public transit should be prepared to find alternative routes.

Per the dedicated RTD Rail Project website, beginning May 26:

  • All D- and H-line trains will be rerouted to Denver Union Station, and L-Line service, which connects 30th Street and Downing Station to the downtown loop, will be suspended.
  • No light-rail service will operate in RTD’s central corridor through September.

RTD remains the best source of information on when, where and how routes may be adjusted. Check the RTD website often for the latest information.

Spring parking passports and permits expire soon

  • Spring-semester passports and permits for the Auraria Campus expire May 22.
  • Summer-semester passports and permits are now available for purchase and will become active May 23.
  • Summer passports and permits will expire Aug. 18.
  • Prices for passports and permits are prorated as the semester progresses.
  • As a new feature, users can now customize permits and passports to include Fridays.
