The Metropolitan State University of Denver President’s Cabinet on Thursday recommended sunsetting several outdated University policies and heard important updates on the University budget, campus construction and Workday Student implementation.

President Janine Davidson, Ph.D., also celebrated a number of Roadrunner achievements, highlighting MSU Denver’s new Career Connected Campus designation from the Colorado Department of Higher Education — one of only five institutions statewide. She also noted strong athletics momentum, with men’s soccer earning RMAC co-champion honors and women’s volleyball clinching its fifth consecutive regular-season title.

Davidson affirmed that MSU Denver remains in a strong position, citing rising enrollment, retention and brand strength, while acknowledging continued budget challenges tied to the state’s fiscal outlook.

The MSU Denver President's Cabinet met on Nov. 20, 2025 in the Jordan Success Building.

Policy and project updates

  • The Cabinet voted to recommend the Board of Trustees sunset three outdated MSU Denver policies — covering employee insurance, personnel forms and officer titles — ensuring alignment with current laws and systems.
  • Organizational Change Manager Matthew Scott presented a progress report on the Workday Student implementation, which will replace Banner by fall 2027. The rollout emphasizes sustainable change, continuous training and cross-campus collaboration through a new Workday Changemaker Network launching in January.
