Most classrooms and offices in the Auraria Campus’ Plaza Building, which closed last month due to a water-main break, will reopen as the new semester kicks off Tuesday.
However, no restrooms or water will be available inside the building as crews continue repair work. Students, employees and visitors will be directed to portable restrooms or facilities in adjacent buildings:
- An Americans With Disabilities Act-accessible restroom trailer will be outside the Plaza Building.
- ADA-accessible restrooms and water fountains are also available in the nearby King Center and Auraria Events Center.
While most classrooms will be available for use as scheduled, several rooms and offices will remain closed:
- Classes originally scheduled in Rooms 125, 126, and 127 have been relocated. The updated locations are reflected on current class schedules.
- The Access Center in Room 122 will be temporarily relocated to Modular Office Building 1, near the intersection of Curtis and 7th streets. Any students who have disability-related accessibility needs can contact the Access Center.
- The Health Center is providing in-person and telehealth appointments. Please call 303-615-9999 to schedule an appointment or visit healthcenter1.com for more information regarding services.
The Plaza Building, located in the heart of campus between the King Center and Auraria Events Center, has been closed since Nov. 27. Water service should be restored within the next few weeks.
