The Metropolitan State University of Denver community is invited to review and provide feedback on several new policies and rule changes.
Recommendations will be shared with MSU Denver policy developers, the University Policy Advisory Council and the President’s Cabinet before review and approval by President Janine Davidson, Ph.D., and the Board of Trustees.
Policies with feedback due by Oct. 25
Please provide feedback on three policies by Oct. 25:
- Professional Development Policy: Updates involve decentralizing the process of allocating funds. Previously, a centralized fund within Human Resources allowed employees to apply for professional-development opportunities. Now, each department will be responsible for budgeting its team’s professional-development needs.
- Cellphone and Tablets Policy: This policy outlines reimbursement guidelines for mobile devices used for University business.
- Supplemental Pay Policy: A new policy is being introduced to comply with federal guidelines under the Code of Federal Regulations, particularly CFR Part 200, which governs the administration of federal awards. The policy outlines how MSU Denver will compensate employees for extra work and exempts staff members who also teach as affiliate faculty members, up to 4 credit hours a semester.
“With the feedback from a diverse group of constituents, we have established this policy to provide consistency across the University,” said Laneika Musalini, Ed.D., director of the Office of Sponsored Research and Programs.
Policies with feedback due by Nov. 15
Feedback is also requested on four additional policies:
- Websites and Web Applications Policy
- Paid Advertising Policy (2024 version)
- MSU Denver Visual Identity Policy
- MSU Denver Brand Policies Umbrella
