When Metropolitan State University of Denver Computer Science major and Pi Sigma Epsilon member Nathan Allison volunteered for the 2025 Colorado Rockies 50/50 Raffle, he viewed it simply as a way to raise money for his fraternity.

“Each ‘yes’ fueled a new kind of motivation,” said Allison, one of the season’s top sellers. “It became a personal challenge to push myself for a cause I believed in.”

This year marks the ninth season the MSU Denver Alumni Association has partnered with the team and the Colorado Rockies Foundation for the Colorado Rockies 50/50 Raffle. As in years past, one lucky winner will take half of the jackpot, with the remainder split between the Rockies Foundation and the Alumni Association.

With the 2026 baseball season in full swing, the Alumni Association is seeking volunteers to assist with the 50/50 Raffle at all Rockies home games. Volunteers will earn $100 per shift worked to be designated to an MSU Denver program, club or scholarship.

During the 2025 season, 875 volunteers raised a total of $149,000. Thanks to Allison and 53 other volunteers, Pi Sigma Epsilon took the top student group spot, raising $5,750 to help members attend the PSE National Convention and strengthen community service efforts. Another top earner, Roadrunners Cross Country/Track & Field, raised $14,500, providing funding for uniforms, travel and more. When combined with the previous seven seasons, over 6,000 volunteers have raised nearly $1 million. You can help us reach this milestone!

Support student success at MSU Denver by registering to volunteer for the 50/50 Raffle today and/or purchasing raffle tickets at Coors Field or online to raise money for University programs, clubs and scholarships.
