The Metropolitan State University of Denver Alumni Association is kicking off the 2024-25 academic year with a new executive committee to guide Alumni Association Board of Directors in developing avenues for alumni engagement while supporting the University’s strategic goals.
“First, we want to thank our outgoing president, Jim Qualteri, for his leadership over the past three years. His work has positioned us for future success,” said Brandi Rideout, senior director of Alumni Engagement and director of the Alumni Association.
“We also want to express how excited we are for this next group of talented alumni to step into leadership roles,” she added. “Their dedication to our mission will ensure that fellow Roadrunners have opportunities to engage with each other and the University in meaningful ways.”
President | Amber Mozet ’06
Human Resources manager, Tepeyac Community Health Center
For 13 years, Amber Mozet worked at MSU Denver, where she loved impacting future alums. She brings that same dedication to her role at Tepeyac Community Health Center and hopes to encourage Roadrunners to pursue careers in health care. Mozet is passionate about connecting with fellow alumni and is excited to bring a fresh perspective to the board.
Vice president | Jameer Fitch ’20, ’23
Senior Physical Security analyst, Comcast Cable; CEO, B.A.M. Ltd; U.S. Navy
Jameer Fitch has served in the U.S. Navy Reserve since 2011 and worked at Comcast since 2013. While earning his undergraduate degree in Legal Analytics and Organizational Leadership and his MBA, Fitch was the president of Student Veteran Affairs. He believes the key to achieving your goals is taking them step by step — before you know it, you’ll pass the finish line.
Treasurer | Brad Kaplan ’82
Retired — vice president, Finance, Comcast Cable
Upon retiring in 2017, Brad Kaplan immersed himself in serving his Roadrunner community. He started an alumni/student mentoring program for the College of Business, chairs the College of Business Advisory Council, supports the softball team and more. In their free time, Kaplan and his wife, Judy, enjoy traveling, watching movies and collecting Beatles memorabilia.
