Yesterday, a cohort of 14 Metropolitan State University of Denver employees graduated from the LEAD Leadership Program.
Created by the University’s Leadership and Organizational Engagement team, the semester-long program equips participants with practical tools to lead teams, navigate change and build a positive workplace culture.
Through a series of sessions combining prework, instruction and action planning, participants explored their leadership styles while identifying strengths and areas for growth. The program also emphasizes aligning leadership practices with MSU Denver’s mission, CADRE values and Pillar V in the University’s 2030 Strategic Plan.
Program goals:
- Identify leadership strengths and opportunities for development
- Explain how they embody the MSU Denver mission and CADRE values, including a commitment to DEI, and learn how to align strategic goals
- Develop core competencies and skills to build high performing, engaged teams
- Create trusting and meaningful relationships with fellow Roadrunners
- Develop and present process improvement projects that champion CADRE values
