More about Alternative Break Program

The ABP is a program of the Career to Classroom Hub Scholarship Support and Retention office. As part of the trips’ hands-on education, community collaboration and reflection, the program aims to transform and inspire students to adopt a lifelong commitment to self-evaluation and critique. These opportunities help students develop a deeper understanding and respect for different ways of interaction that promote a society of people who prioritize a just and equitable community. Next spring and summer breaks, students will visit La Puente (in Alamosa) and the Cheyenne River Youth Project (South Dakota).
