The Public Health Emergency Leave (PHEL) program under the Healthy Families Workplace Act has been extended through Jan. 11. The federal government has indicated that there will be a 60-day notice period before any end to the PHEL. If the program is not extended after Jan. 11, it will remain available for 90 days following the expiration day and then for four weeks after the conclusion of the 90 days.
