This fall, Metropolitan State University of Denver invites new and experienced supervisors to strengthen their leadership capacity through the LAUNCH and LEAD programs. The trainings are structured, cohort-based learning experiences aligned with the University’s mission and 2030 Strategic Plan.
Registration is now open, and employees are encouraged to explore program details and secure their spot before summer to ensure participation in these high-demand offerings.
LAUNCH program: Build your leadership foundation
The LAUNCH program is a three-session leadership series crafted especially for new and emerging supervisors at MSU Denver.
Program goals:
- Identify leadership strengths and growth opportunities.
- Align leadership practice with MSU Denver’s mission, vision and CADRE values.
- Enhance team engagement and performance.
- Build lasting professional networks across departments.
Eligibility:
- Leaders with at least one direct report (including student employees).
- Priority for those newly promoted, under promotion consideration or nominated by supervisors.

LEAD program: Transform and elevate your leadership
The LEAD program is an intensive, semester long leadership course tailored for University leaders such as directors, department chairs, associate deans and other supervisors managing teams.
Program goals:
- Deepen leadership self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
- Align leadership practices with the University’s strategic goals and CADRE values.
- Strengthen cross-campus relationships and networks.
- Develop and champion process improvements that enhance campus culture.
Eligibility:
- Supervisors with at least three direct reports.
- Minimum of six months of employment at MSU Denver.
- Supervisor or VP support required.

Registration details
Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis and will remain open through the deadlines as capacity limits allow. After capacity is reached, those registering can join a waitlist. Participants will receive confirmation of enrollment and additional program details from the Leadership and Organizational Engagement Department once their registration is processed.
