You’ve weighed in with feedback on what you love about working at Metropolitan State University of Denver and how your engagement could be strengthened, via the 2025 Employee Engagement Survey.

Now, MSU Denver leaders have developed customized action plans to drive improvements. Each college, school and administrative branch identified a key area of opportunity specific to their teams and outlined strategies to address it.

To foster meaningful progress, each branch focused on one priority topic, detailing what actions it would stop, start and continue doing to elevate employee perceptions and experiences. These focused plans, available for all employees to review on the Human Resources SharePoint page, aim to drive measurable improvements and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing dialogue and responsiveness.

Employees who haven’t yet reviewed their branch’s plan or who are curious to see how other areas are approaching their focus topics are encouraged to take a look.

Charles Kibort“We appreciate everyone who provided feedback via the survey,” said Charles Kibort, executive director of Human Resources Operations and Strategy. “The results show that employees remain proud of their work and deeply connected to MSU Denver’s mission. At the same time, the survey highlighted several opportunities for growth, including strengthening trust in senior leadership, enhancing cross-departmental collaboration, improving efficiency and providing more meaningful recognition.”

Kibort also highlighted that every employee has a role in increasing engagement and in positioning MSU Denver as Colorado’s most desired workplace by 2030, as outlined in the University’s Strategic Plan.

“These action plans reinforce our commitment to addressing opportunities and move us closer to that goal,” said Kibort.
