Each year, Metropolitan State University of Denver’s Day of Giving brings alumni, students and members of the faculty, staff and community together to raise funds that provide Roadrunners with the resources they need to rise and become tomorrow’s Changemakers.

As we prepare for our ninth annual fundraising campaign March 20, we need your campus project submissions to make the day successful.

To be considered for promotion on Day of Giving, campus organizations must submit a crowdfunding project proposal supporting a campus organization, fund, department or program that includes:

  • A brief description.
  • A fundraising goal.
  • An explanation of how the funds would be used.

Submissions will be accepted through Feb. 28.

Last year’s totals

Over 1,500 donors helped raise more than $269,000 in 2024. Those funds:

  • Fed hundreds of students each week at Rowdy’s Corner.
  • Allowed the ROTC & Veteran/Military Fund to help ROTC students attend cadet training, provide student veterans access to professional-development program Boots to Suits and fund student-veteran orientation.
  • Supported programs and scholarships in the MSU Denver College of Business.
  • Assisted the School of Education with providing enhanced learning environments for future teachers.
  • Provided Roadrunners Athletics teams with the funds to purchase new equipment, participate in competitions and support everyday needs in the face of decreasing budgets.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to raise awareness and funds for your project. For more information, contact Bre Milnes, executive director of Advancement Communications and Annual Giving.
