Each year, Metropolitan State University of Denver’s Day of Giving brings alumni, students and members of the faculty, staff and community together to raise funds that provide Roadrunners with the resources they need to become tomorrow’s Changemakers.
As we prepare for our eighth annual fundraising campaign April 11, we need your campus project submissions to make the day successful.
To be considered for promotion on Day of Giving, campus organizations must submit a crowdfunding project proposal supporting a campus organization, fund, department or program that includes:
- A brief description.
- A fundraising goal.
- An explanation of how the funds would be used.
Examples of successful past projects can be found on last year’s Day of Giving crowdfunding page.
Submissions will be accepted through March 11.
Last year’s totals
Last year, 1,580 donors helped raise a record $275,682.
Those funds:
- Fed hundreds of students each week at Rowdy’s Corner.
- Helped our national champion MSU Denver Aerobatics Team grow its team to produce top-class pilots.
- Allowed students to explore public-service careers in Washington, D.C., via the Presidential Internship in Public Service.
- Assisted MSU Denver dietetic interns with the cost of an internship through the MSU Denver Dietetic Internship fund.
- Provided Roadrunners Athletics teams with funds to purchase new equipment, participate in competitions and support everyday needs in the face of decreasing budgets.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to raise awareness and funds for your project. For more information, contact Bre Milnes, executive director of Advancement Communications and Annual Giving.
