Each year, Metropolitan State University of Denver Day of Giving brings together a community of alumni, students and members of the faculty, staff and community to impact the academic, personal and professional lives of Roadrunners. As we gear up for our seventh annual fundraising campaign March 30, MSU Denver needs your campus-project submissions to make the day a success.
To be considered for promotion on Day of Giving, campus organizations must submit a crowdfunding-project proposal supporting a campus organization, fund, department or program that includes:
- A brief description.
- A fundraising goal.
- An explanation of how the funds would be used.
Examples of successful past projects can be found on last year’s Day of Giving crowdfunding page. Submissions will be accepted through March 1.
Last year’s totals
Last year, 1,148 donors helped raise a record $221,000. Those funds:
- Fed over 100 students for a full academic year at Rowdy’s Corner (formerly the Roadrunner Food Pantry).
- Helped the Journalism and Media Production Department upgrade its technology, allowing it to produce high-quality content and prepare students for the workforce.
- Offered students an opportunity to live and work in Washington, D.C., via the Presidential Internship in Public Service.
- Allowed students to transform communities through the Alternative Break Program.
- Provided Roadrunners Athletics teams with funds to purchase new equipment, participate in competitions and support everyday needs in the face of decreasing budgets.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to raise awareness and funds for your project.
